Bitget Stocks Research Shows Tokenized Equities Race Heating Up With 140% Rise in 2026

Tokenized equities are growing fast, but simply listing stock-backed tokens isn’t enough anymore. As per latest Bitget’s research report, the battleground has shifted toward execution quality, liquidity, and infrastructure. The report shows the active market capitalization of tokenized stocks and equities has risen more than 140% from $814 million to $1.976 billion, while Bitget is positioning itself with two separate products designed for traditional investors and crypto-native traders.

Two Products, Two Different Investor Groups

Instead of forcing every user into same model, Loading profile preview splits its offering between Stock+ and Reality rTokens. Stock+ provides direct ownership of more than 10,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs through regulated brokerage infrastructure, while Reality rTokens deliver tokenized equity exposure that can be traded with stablecoins, transferred to compatible wallets, and integrated into selected crypto workflows.

Unlike traditional brokerage products, rTokens can move beyond exchange trading into supported DeFi applications, giving users additional flexibility while maintaining more than 100% reserve backing with independent daily attestations.

Retail Traders Are Driving Early Growth

The report shows Reality rTokens generated $1.16 billion in cumulative spot trading volume between June 2 and July 19, averaging $24.2 million per day. Activity accelerated during July, with average daily volume rising from $17.9 million in June to $33.8 million.

Retail traders accounted for $1.11 billion, or 95.1% of total spot volume, while institutions contributed $56.4 million. Semiconductors-related assets dominated trading activity, representing 46.6% of total rToken volume, followed by technology stocks at 34.3%.

Liquidity Becomes The Real Battleground

Bitget’s report argues that pricing alone doesn’t determine execution quality. Across five benchmark markets, its rTokens posted the lowest median bid-ask spread while also recording the deepest top-of-book liquidity for every asset tested. The exchange also led aggregate order-book depth across stock, metals, and commodity perpetual markets, suggesting its competitive edge increasingly comes from execution conditions rather than product design alone.

The report concludes that as tokenized equity platforms continue adopting similar custody and reserve models, liquidity, infrastructure, and execution quality may become the defining factors separating market leaders.
