XRP is approaching a critical setup as volatility contracts and traders prepare for a potential breakout. The token’s four-hour Bollinger Bands have narrowed to levels last seen in August, a pattern that previously preceded a sharp price rally. With the XRP price approaching a key decision zone, two levels could determine whether XRP stages a recovery or faces another decline.
XRP Bollinger Bands Squeeze Signals a Major Move
XRP’s four-hour Bollinger Bands have compressed to their narrowest levels since August, according to crypto analyst Ali Charts. The analyst noted that the previous time the bands reached a similar level of compression, XRP rallied 71% within three days. This has renewed attention on the possibility of another significant price move.
However, a Bollinger Bands squeeze indicates declining volatility rather than a confirmed bullish breakout. The price can move sharply in either direction once volatility expands.
Ali Charts has identified two levels that could determine XRP’s next direction:
- $1.27: A four-hour candle close above this level would signal a bullish breakout.
- $1.23: A four-hour close below this level would strengthen the bearish outlook.
Until either level breaks, the analyst considers the $1.23–$1.27 range a no-trade zone.
50 Million XRP Withdrawn From Binance
Whale activity has added another development to XRP’s market outlook. According to transaction data, an unidentified whale withdrew 50 million XRP from Binance. The transfer was valued at approximately $62.4 million at the time. Large exchange withdrawals can indicate that investors are moving tokens into private wallets rather than keeping them readily available for trading.
However, a withdrawal alone does not confirm long-term accumulation or an intention to hold. The destination and subsequent movement of the tokens will be important in determining the significance of the transaction. Still, the transfer has drawn attention as XRP approaches its key technical levels.
XRP Price Analysis: Can Bulls Break Above $1.27?
XRP’s four-hour chart shows the token trading within a narrowing range after an extended decline. The Bollinger Bands compression suggests that the current consolidation could soon give way to a larger price move. The immediate resistance stands at $1.27. A confirmed four-hour close above this level could improve buying momentum and bring $1.30 into focus.
On the downside, $1.23 remains the key support. A break below this level could expose XRP to further selling pressure and weaken the recovery outlook. For now, neither direction has been confirmed. A decisive candle close beyond the $1.23–$1.27 range, supported by stronger trading volume, would provide a clearer indication of the next trend.
Which Way Will XRP Break?
XRP’s tightening Bollinger Bands and the latest whale withdrawal have put the token at an important technical juncture. However, the previous 71% rally following a similar setup does not guarantee another sharp rise.
A break above $1.27 could strengthen the bullish case, while a move below $1.23 would put sellers in control. Until then, XRP remains in a consolidation phase, with its next major move dependent on which level gives way first.
