The ONDO price gained nearly 5% after Ondo announced a major milestone in tokenized securities, but the bigger story may be where the project now sits within traditional finance. The rally also pushed the token back to its 50-day EMA after rebounding from a key ascending trendline, putting traders on alert for a possible breakout.
Price is reacting, but the next move depends on whether buyers can build enough momentum to clear overhead resistance.
Ondo Joins DTCC Tokenization Initiative
Ondo revealed that it has launched the first tokenized stock representations based on DTC tokenized entitlements to DTC-held securities generated through the DTCC Tokenization Service.
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), which processed approximately $4.7 quadrillion in U.S. securities transactions during 2025, is the primary post-trade infrastructure provider for U.S. capital markets.
Through the initiative, Ondo joins DTCC’s largest tokenization effort to date alongside firms including BlackRock, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Nasdaq, and the New York Stock Exchange.
How The Tokenized Stocks Work
According to Ondo, tokenized entitlements tied to securities such as CRCL and SPY serve as digital twins backing CRCLon and SPYon under its Ondo Stocks platform.
These tokenized securities can move between traditional and tokenized formats, creating additional flexibility while opening new liquidity opportunities and digital asset use cases. The functionality is also expected to enhance the utility of Ondo Stocks across the company’s network of exchanges, wallets, and DeFi platforms.
Ondo CEO Ian De Bode said the company expects to play a leading role in bringing tokenized securities on-chain as the market evolves.
ONDO Price Faces Major Technical Test

The ONDO price has responded positively, bouncing from its ascending trendline and climbing back toward the 50-day EMA.
A decisive breakout above that moving average could strengthen bullish momentum, with technical resistance levels sitting near $0.70, followed by $1.12 if buying pressure continues.
However, failure to reclaim the EMA could invalidate the recent rebound. Losing the ascending trendline would expose Loading profile preview to renewed downside pressure, increasing the risk of a move toward fresh all-time lows if demand weakens.
